Proper press brake installation is a critical step to ensure the long-term stability, safety, and precision of the machine. Before beginning any installation work, thorough press brake installation preparation is essential. This includes confirming the strength and level of the foundation, preparing the correct power supply and air compressor system, and assembling the necessary tools and accessories. Each detail—from the positioning of leveling blocks to the selection of measuring instruments—plays a key role in ensuring that the press brake operates accurately and efficiently from day one. By following a detailed checklist and preparing in advance, you can significantly reduce downtime and installation errors, laying the groundwork for smooth production and reliable performance.
Preparation Before Installation
- Foundation Requirements: Ensure that the concrete foundation of the equipment’s working area is at least 15 cm thick and the site is level.
- Electrical Cabinet: Prepare a 160A molded case circuit breaker for the distribution cabinet.
- Power Supply Cable: Prepare a 16 mm² five-core cable for a three-phase power system (three live wires, one neutral wire, and one ground wire). The cable length should be measured according to the actual distance between the bending center and the power distribution box.
- Air Compressor: Prepare a belt-driven air compressor with an exhaust capacity of at least 200L/min and an output pressure of 0.8 MPa.
- Air Hose: Prepare an 8 mm pressure-resistant air hose (with pressure resistance above 0.8 MPa) to connect the compressor to the machine. The oil-water separator at the machine’s air inlet should be adjusted to 0.5 MPa.
- Round Column Leveling Blocks: These are included with the equipment. After the equipment is placed on the ground, the blocks should be positioned under the base bolts.
Tools Preparation:
- Strip-type spirit level: For leveling the machine.
- Multimeter: To check circuit voltage.
- Claw jack: For assisting with level adjustments.
- Adjustable wrench (up to 60 mm opening): For adjusting the machine’s base bolts.
- 17 mm hex wrench: For tightening the arm-pressing connection bolts.(Note: A set of hex wrenches under 10 mm is included with the machine; other sizes must be prepared separately.)
- Dial gauge: For checking parallelism between the lower pressing blade surface and pressing arm surface.
- Magnetic dial stand: To hold the dial gauge in place.
- Feeler gauge, depth gauge, caliper, tape measure, protractor: For measurement and alignment tasks.
- Phillips and flathead screwdrivers (various sizes): For wiring the equipment.
- Cable ties: For bundling power and signal cables.
